Disclaimer

Even though we have tried hard to test and debug the file system and recently it has seemed fairly stable, it is still a very new and obviously has never been tested in a production environment. Also note that the on-disk format of the file system may slightly change throughout the course of further development (see to-do).

Please be aware that the roll-forward utility has been reported to gravely damage the file system several times. Please use the checkpoint recovery mode which seems to work very well (unless you want to debug roll-forward, of course).

Tarballs

The most recent version of LFS is for Linux 2.6.17 with a patch applied. The tarball with all relevant sources, documentation and more can be downloaded from here.
